And we cannot allow that way of life to be threatened by genetically-engineered “Frankenfish.”
The FDA still hasn’t made a determination on whether or not to give the ok to genetically-engineered salmon. Right now we’ve got 5,833 signers telling the FDA to keep Frankenfish out of Alaska -- and we need your help to grow even stronger.
Tell the FDA: No Frankenfish. Add your name today:
http://www.markbegich.com/...From Bristol Bay sockeye to Bering Sea crab, Alaska’s seafood industry means more than $5.8 billion a year for our economy, and supports roughly 78,500 jobs.
Alaskans take pride in providing the highest quality seafood in the world. Our salmon aren’t cooked up in a lab -- they’re pulled from the clear waters of Norton Sound and the Gulf of Alaska.
Genetically engineered salmon have no place in Alaska fisheries. And the FDA needs to know, before they make a call, that there is still a grassroots network of folks against Frankenfish.
